Based on previous unreleased White House tapes, Mr. Coleman's book, "The Fourteenth Day: JFK and the Aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis," details the days following October 28, 1962, and shows that though the public believed the Cuban Missile Crisis had ended, President Kennedy continued to walk a fine diplomatic line to secure the removal of as much nuclear weaponry from Cuba as possible. Mr. Coleman discusses his findings and the 50th anniversary of the crisis with George Washington University history professor and former director of the Wilson Center's Cold War International History Project, James Hershberg.
